Portfolio 2022
This were projects I made for video and sports reporting courses. For the video course, i used:
-
Photoshop
-
Premiere
For the Sports reporting work, I traveled to a high school to cover a girls volleyball team, and formed a good relationship with the team and school, which allowed me great coverage and interviews.
Video Project 2
ASU and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Comm. took every measure it could to protect students from COVID once they returned from Summer Break, ranging from required masks in indoor areas, to daily health checks, and strongly urging vaccines. But as COVID cases dwindled, ASU took some steps back from their strict policies. In this package, I show you what ASU looks like now as I interview a Cronkite student about their opinions on the updates.
After Effects
In this video I demonstrate my skills in after effects. I go up on the Strat in Las Vegas and film myself during high winds; I know, very brave of me. But I also include a title and lower thirds to it, so you know who I am and what it's about!
PBJ Instructions
In this video I instruct you on how to make a good PBJ. I personally use the double spread method, where both sides get spread with the peanut butter and jelly; some people only put peanut butter on one side and jelly on the other, but I prefer the other way. And while I say it's unnecessary, making sure the bread is in a good mood is a very good way to ensure a good sandwich. Also, make sure to use white bread for the sandwich. You can make a lot of them that way, and it doesn't distract from the peanut butter and jelly.
Infographics
I made these two infographics for my class. one of them is about the history of Basketball, and the other details the percentages of teams with championships. Hopefully you can learn a helpful thing or two from my infographics.
JMC 306 Podcast 1
This is my first podcast. In the podcast I discuss the NBA playoff picture with fellow Cronkite sports journalist Cooper Burns. Cooper has a terrific knowledge of multiple sports, basketball one of them, and he is a fan of his hometown Atlanta teams. The podcast will show my skills in: editing separate dialogue, adding and fading music, combining separate mics into a single sound, and ability to bounce off my guest. We discuss NBA topics ranging from the best contenders, the wide open nature of the Eastern Conference, how we see the season ending, and who is going to meet in the finals. Hope you enjoy.
